Steel Wire

At RTI we don’t believe in waste. We believe in reusing every available component of a tyre. That involves more than just rubber. Using state of the art technology, we can also extract high tensile steel wire from a variety of tyres. This tyre-derived steel is sold on to steel manufacturers who use it in construction and fabrication.

The benefits of tyre-derived steel are that it is:

  • high quality steel
  • dense (less room required for transportation)
  • reusable again and again
